Frequently Asked Questions

Will the homeless be attending the event? 

The night of the event, the homeless will be directed to local shelters in Anderson. The next morning they will be transported over to join us for breakfast and fellowship. 

Will there be security? 

The night of the event and the following morning, campus safety and security will be strengthened. 

What should I bring? 

Participants should only bring sleeping bags and minimal necessities (ie toothbrush and toothpaste). We request that you leave all electronics, air mattresses, tents, etc at home. This event is to experience homelessness. 

Is food provided at the event? 

Yes, snacks and drinks will be provided the night of the event and breakfast will be provided the following morning. 

Are kids allowed? 

We encourage families to come together. Youth groups are welcome as well. We ask that there be a 5 to 1 child to adult ratio. 

Can I bring outside food and drinks? 

No, it is provided. 

If you would like to donate items to local homeless organizations, we ask you bring: 

Blankets/old sleeping bags

Shoes

Women and men clothing

Socks

Scarves

Gloves

Hats/beanies
